I came to the United States as a child with very little that we could call our own. Having left a difficult past behind, I found myself dreaming and fighting for all that could be good around me. That idealism and continuous reach for creating a positive change for myself and those around me still guides me every day.

Where we started and where we're headed

Cynuria was founded by a first-generation immigrant who, inspired by her single mother's resilience in a new country, created a new vision for a consulting firm that values staff wellbeing as much as work quality.

Where we started

Driven by a conviction that management consulting could be more transparent and humane, Houri launched a unique kind of firm in 2016. Instead of chasing profits at the expense of employee wellbeing, she prioritized genuine relationships, deep human connection, and meaningful results for her clients. This novel approach to consulting earned immediate recognition, with the company receiving the Minority Woman Business of the Year award in its inaugural year.

Houri founded Cynuria to be the change she sought in the consulting industry.
